Why a school dedicated to cybersecurity management?
This question comes up frequently.
Why choose to open an “atypical” school? Why did you choose to facilitate access to the sector, with profiles different from those encountered today?
Quite simply because cyber has evolved in recent years. The cyber expert, whatever his field, must today master an increasingly wide spectrum of cross-functional skills.
A Business School that also highlights technical know-how
The first words that come to mind when talking about Business School are managerial courses. Indeed, our school benefits from hours dedicated to these programs. Because it is fundamental to be able to communicate effectively, to have a global vision of your field of activity. Working with the Finance function without understanding the major issues, is it possible? Managing a crisis, without being able to communicate effectively, is it possible?
However, our Business School also values practice, in facilities provided for this purpose.
Our building is intended to be the reflection of a 4.0 company, and houses at its heart more than 350m2 entirely dedicated to a simulator. Replica of a real Security Operations Center (SOC), it will allow students to practice as close as possible to real conditions; it will cover both IT and industrial environments. A next article will be dedicated to our simulator.
“We consider our establishment as a huge sandbox allowing not only to acquire new skills, but also and above all to put them into practice. All cybersecurity technologies will be represented within our school, such as IPS/IDS, NAC, EDR, Bastion, PAM etc… to name but a few. »
A Business School to bring together
From diversity comes wealth. Our choice, to open a Business School dedicated to cybersecurity, meets our ambition to make cybersecurity accessible to as many people as possible and to increase the variety of profiles accessing this sector. Beyond the scientific and technical aspects, our training courses are designed for all types of profiles, which are all legitimate in a sector facing a growing shortage of talent. Cybersecurity cannot afford to leave out future key resources.
We have therefore made the choice to invest massively in established educational modules to optimize the training paths of learners, to deepen or update their knowledge. Our programs have therefore been designed to adapt to learners. Because at the CSB, we favor the optimization of educational pathways and not spaces dedicated to learners.
A Business School to stimulate innovation
The choice of a Business School also marks our desire to support entrepreneurship to boost innovation within companies. Part of our campus will thus be dedicated to an incubator. The latter will be located in the heart of the living space animated by the students and accessible to all, whether you are learners, speakers or from the outside. The incubator offers our students, and all stakeholders on our campus, the opportunity to test their skills, and possibly to encourage vocations in entrepreneurship.
We are convinced that cybersecurity training must be renewed and encompass all aspects of the profession, both managerial and technical. Who says new world, says new rules and change management. It is this change that we are calling for and that our Business School will support with enthusiasm.
“Often forgotten, the major obstacle to the success of a cybersecurity project is not the technique, but the change management.”
